Got stuck on I-10 in stopped traffic on the 2nd due to a semi loaded with frozen chicken running into the back of a semi loaded with beehives full of bees.
Accident was just east of Dillon Rd. Near Indio/Palm Springs. Both trucks caught on fire so it was Honey Grilled Chicken for everyone...LOL
I was in a work truck and started to feel sorry for the many RV'ers stuck. Then I realized they had it made...watch TV, eat, use the toilet, take a nap....me I had to sit there and stare at the back of the U-haul trailer in front of me. Luckily I had a small bag of Chex Mix and a cup of water.
3 hours wait until the lanes were opened up.

Bad about the accident.....................It sure is nice to be held up in a motorhome though.

Coming across US 20 in Oregon a few years ago, all traffic was halted because of road construction. Since we have a MH, I made us something to eat, we used the bathroom as needed, etc., plus it was very warm that afternoon, so we started the genny and had the A/C going. Saw some people going back to the 5th wheels/trailers to do the same. Lots of people in cars after about 40 minutes were out looking for trees.
Sometimes being an RVer is advantageous.

Having been a professional driver in my past, I immediately became concerned with whether any serious injuries might have come about because of this accident. I finally found a news article online. Apparently, one driver suffered minor injuries and the other none at all. Just had some cooked chicken and dead bees.

Frozen Chicken Barbecued in Truck Crash as Bees Swarm
Now that I know that no one was seriously injured or killed, I can safely say that this is a new twist on the story of the birds and the bees.
(Sorry....couldn't resist.)
