Hi everyone! First-time RV buyer, here, and we're trying to figure out what exactly we're looking for, so we can narrow it down a bit. We're not limited by location as far as where we buy from, only know we DON'T want to buy from Camping World, and are looking at $45,000 max.
I work from home, and my boyfriend will be running his business, as well, and needs space for his shop {wood, leather, etc.}. I'm having trouble finding a toy hauler that doesn't look like a bachelor pad. We WANT a dinette/eating area, we don't need a loft, and do need a desk {or the chance to remove a recliner, still have a couch, and install a desk}.
Is there such a thing as a toy hauler with a desk and no loft?
Any recommendations for anything that fits this description?
Thank you!

Welcome to the Forum, as soon as you can go to an RV Show....don't know where you are but PA , Hershey has one of the largest...If you can't find exactly what you want, look into a nice used unit and do a quick modification to it, you can get just what you want that way...

Hi, we just bought a Heartland Torque 321. It has a 12 ft garage and a desk in the kitchen area. We absolutely love it. You can check out pics online. I think this might be what you are looking for!

With a toyhauler the possibilities are endless. The garage area can be modified to fit both of your needs.
Hi everyone, thanks for the recommendations. The issue is that my bf will need the entire garage area as his shop, and my computer can't be around the woodworking and such that will be going on in there.
I'll look into the mods and specific models. Thanks!

You might want to look at Grand Designs Momentum....we just saw one at the Quartzsite RV show and I have to say the toy haulers have come way....
Good Luck

We have a series of office/desk areas that other RVers have done in their RVs that might help give you some ideas:

We added a desk to our 5th wheel....www.amazingmagictable.com/2tabledesk2.htm
One of the more unique mods I have seen is a murphy type bed that when in the stored position creates a desk. Something like these www.murphydeskbeds.com/double-horizontal-desk-bed/
I'll look into the mods and specific models. Thanks!

We're trying to not remodel anything, if possible, outside of removing a chair and installing a desk, but I'll definitely check out these ideas. Yay!
