Fixtures for RV to secure bird cages or other cages?

We just attended the huge RV show in Tampa, Florida. We got to tour a ton of different rigs and explore different accessories. However, we were surprised to find that there were no accessories, fixtures, etcetera to secure cages, specifically bird cages, while the rig was in motion. It is our intent to travel the road with our two parrots each of whom has a rather large cage.
Any chance that anyone out there had similar aspirations and/or wanted to travel with animals that go in a different type of cage that required securing while in travel? If so, did you purchase a certain accessory and/or come across anyone who was able to fabricate an accessory or some other mechanism to function to hold the cages in place?
As always, greatly appreciate this awesome community to bounce these types of questions off of!

I assume you want to secure them in a MH?
When I travel with my parrot I set the cage on the rear seat of our TV and just carry it inside the trailer at night. We leave her big cage at home when we travel. However when we go FT I plan on simply bolting her big cage directly to the floor, probably with 4 Nylock wing nuts (which thread onto hanger bolts screwed into the floor and left protruding enough to get the wing nuts on) for easy removal when it's thorough cleaning time. Here's the hanger bolts I'm talking about. http://www.lowes.com/Hardware/Fasteners/Bolts/Hanger-Bolts/_/N-1z0yk5q/pl#!

We travel with 5 parrots. Unfortunately the more we travel, the more we realize we can not use their large cages. in our old RV space was very limited so we used travel cages and my husband used a sand base with the cages on top to keep them in place. We originally were going to buy a C so the cages could go in the top bunk but ended up purchasing a powerhouse coach which was perfect. I will try to post pictures if I can figure out how or you could email me at lipsonchickencoop@gmail.com and I wil email some pictures. What parrots do you travel with. We have an African grey, sun conure and 3 monk/quaker. I have seen people remove their table or dinette area, Not sure your price lpoint is, but we would happy to let you see our, check out www.powerhousecoach,com.

Wanted to thank you for your reply on the bird cage. Trying to get a visual for your wingnut suggestion -- would you actually screw the nuts into a plywood footprint/base, so to speak, not the floor of the RV, correct? Can you snap a picture of how where you put the cage now, while in transit? I am admittedly not the most fix-it person, so I am trying to get a good visual so that I can potentially contract with someone to help me construct a base, etc.
Thanks again.

I wanted to thank you for your reply about the bird cage securing. Per your suggestion, I have a query into PowerHouse Coach -- however, in the interim, we have just sold our home and will be moving into our coach, full-time, within the next month. And, I am scrambling to find a solution on how to house our birds' cage so that they do not shift while in transit. I see you mentioned a sand base -- Any chance you might be able to snap a pic or have a pic on hand that may give me some idea. I am not the handiest of men, however, I may consider hiring someone to help me put together something makeshift in the meantime.
Thanks a ton,
Jeff

We don't have it anymore because we used it in our last Rv and have secured the cages to a cabinet in this one. What we did was took a heavy plastic containers that was the same dimensions in width and depth of the travel cages and then we took 3 heavy duty hefty trash bags and filled them inside the crate container with sand and then stuffed it into the plastic crate so it was no higher than the container. we then took wire ties and connected the travel tCages. I will look and see if I can find any pictures. I will also post pictures of our current setup in the powerhouse tomorrow.

We have friends that removed the driver side couch in their rig and had a counter top built for the cages. They did it in a way that the couch could go back in when they wanted to sell the rig. They traveled FT for 7 years with their parrots.

My bf and I will be getting our (I'm paying for it, he's driving it), first RV. 1998 Coachman Leprechaun. End of this month/beginning of next month. We will be bringing our dog, cat and ****ateil with us, my Q, is how to secure/where to put his cage? I don't want it to be unsafe if say for example we hit rough terrain or the road is bumpy, or bad weather hits, etc. His is a much smaller cage than a Parrots, or even a small Quaker. We will be living FT in the RV, BTW. So this won't be a part time thing.
