Howdy Howdy RV Dreams Folks, from our 5'ver in Beeville,Texas
I (Larry) have been chomping at the bit since the last of Sept to send this message. And now it has happened. We left our 10 acre ranchett in Bethany, MO ( 100 miles N of Kansas City- on I-35 ) which is "FOR SALE" by the way and we can send an arial pic.
Anyway back to our new venture. We left Bethany, MO about 3:30 pm after Thanksgiving Dinner with family & friends. And arrived here at Beeville, TX Sunday afternoon. Rather odd for me to take 3 days to do 1000 miles, (retired O/O Truck driver) but the DW says "slow down and take it easy - we are retired you know". So, 3 1/2 days later we have parked at the Sugarek RV Park, 6 miles S-W of Beeville, TX. A small 14 space park with about 5 or 6 units in the park. Full hook-ups / 50 amp service, lots of trees and Grass. No other amenities, but it suits us fine. Pecan trees all around us. Beeville is about 60 miles NW of Corpus Christi, just 20 miles east of I-37
We plan to be here until the end of March and then go back to Bethany for April-June. We plan to get serious about selling the ranchett during that period if it hasn't sold while we are down here. We do have a couple of signs up and everyone around the area is aware it's for sale. But we will contact a realtor and get it listed before we head back. Then July and August we plan to spend the hot weather in NE Wyoming ( Pine Haven, WY). Then head back to the Bethany area for Sept-Nov and start the whole thing over again. We need to stay somewhat close to our home base (Bethany) due to the DW's Dad & Bro living in the nursing home @ Bethany. And of course a lot of our family. But, we count ourselves as FT's since we will stay in the 5'ver even @ the home base. We are having some interior painting and touch-up work done while we are gone this winter by our Amish friends. The main reason we are @ Beeville, it has the only Amish Community in Texas and we know some of their family in Bethany. As stated in our Profile, I do like to be around horses and enjoy working the teams, so where else can you just show-up and drive the work horses or borrow a horse & buggy for an afternoon buggy ride.
So, if your coming by our way or looking for nice little RV Park in this area, give us a heads-up. I usually check RV Dreams at least once a day or send us an email ( rocknb2@gmail.com).

p.s. Will send pic's later when we figure out this da-gum new fangled picture taker machine. Up-Date : Don't ask me how, but I figured out how to get our Avitar pic on the web site !!!!
