Sandy and I currently live in Brooksville Florida, but are originally from the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. We've talked about full timing since before we retired in 2009 and have finally decided to do it so we can spend more time with family around the country. Especially our daughter and new granddaughter in Oregon. We had a 35' Airstream when we retired and spent 3 months in it the first summer and thoroughly enjoyed it, but were not ready to give up a home and the possessions that go with it. Since our granddaughter was born last April, we have realized that we don't need that much, and sending time with family is more important than our STUFF. Sooooo, we have set off on our journey to full timing. We bought a new 36' motorhome last March. Our house is under contract and will close next April and we have started selling off our possessions that we cannot take with us. We have a lot to learn yet, but are excited about the change.

Welcome, we just started full timing this week. As has been said the help and information on this site is great.
