It seems that I did something wrong when posting my original introductory comments because I have not seen them here. I will be more brief this time so as not to waste so much time. My wife and I recently retired, but have no plans to full-time. However, we do plan to take a month-long trip south to escape a portion of the cold, Ohio winter. We do not own a "high-end" rig, but are comfortable with what we have. I hope to develop a positive relationship with at least a few of you on this forum. I have been told that I am personable, if not handsome.

Welcome! There is no wrong RV dream so you're will be a fit. Gosh, I'm originally from MI and now in KS and I would need more than a month away if given a chance to get out of the cold. Once we spent a winter in the AZ desert and I knew a warmer winter existed, it is hard to focus on anything else as I slide on the ice and fingers numb as I shovel snow! So long as you enjoy your RV and have a plan that suites you, nothing else matters. Enjoy your winter break!

Frequenting this forum exposes you to the "dreamer bug" and there's no antidote. You start with a month here and a month there and then the bug bites you. My DH and I were full-timers in the '90s and, even though we've been tied down for quite a while, the itch is still with us. No high end RV ever, just well kept rigs that have suited us. There's a 20 yr old fiver sitting in our front yard that wags it's tail every time we go inside and it's 'raring to go. One of these days.....
Welcome to "the not so sick" bay in the dreamer asylum. Always fun here.

Well thanks for the welcome, everyone. Mark, I don't know what your definition of a smart a** is, but one of my favorite quotes is " I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent." This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I think I'm going to like it here! Although I never experienced military life, my experiences with retired military persons have all been positive. I can say the same about (almost) all of the RV campers out there.
