We bought a 5th wheel camper! 2008 Cedar Creek 34SATS from the original owners! Out of all the campers we've looked at in the last 3 months (it was a lot) this one is in the best shape by far! The original owners are retired and one of them has had health issues this last year and it was too much for them to camp anymore. Structurally, it's in great shape, but we've already had to replace the battery and we have a new inverter being shipped today. We were expecting some repairs that we couldn't see from the initial inspection, so at this point, not too bad. We're handy folks, so both of those repairs we can do ourselves.
We're camping this weekend to put her thru the pasces before we have to winterized. I'm very excited! They had lots of extras either from the factory or installed after market. We're checking those things over to make sure they were installed properly.

Great news! Hopefully, the issues will all be minor. Anything used and a lot of things new always have an issue or two. Enjoy!

We took the new (to us) 5th wheel out this weekend, for 3 days. Was the first time camping in five years, so we were rusty on the routine. We had some things go wrong and there's alot for us to learn about the new camper. If we had a few more days, we could have solved more of the mysteries (like why the indicator light on the gray tank is showing that the valve is open, when we tested by adding water and none of it came out, so the valve wasn't really open). We're hoping to squeeze in one more weekend before it gets too cold!

Oh, and we had to replace the battery, the converter, and the door lock (tumbler stuck, key wouldn't go in at all, couldn't get in the door - had to drill out the lock, and replace it totally). I expected to need to replace some things, I just hope we're done for a little while!
