We are picking up a Camp-Inn teardrop trailer in early April to be fulltimers. Just wondering if anyone out there has a teardrop? Would love to hear about your adventures and experiences.
Thanks!

How adventurous of you! Our only close experience would be 5 1/2 months in a pop-up trailer and I have heard that others full-time in pop-ups and read about people full-timing with tents so your idea is definitely doable. This could be your best resource and they provide excellent resources that are well worth looking at despite what unit you'll be using: www.technomadia.com/about-us/ As you'll see, they started out with a very small unit. Gosh, Camp-Inn is the "cadillac" of teardrops as they are absolutely beautiful!

Love the Camp-Inn line, what model are you getting? There are a few good forums out there but not to many Fulltimers using a Teardrop...gonna be fun....I am planning to build my own Teardrop, I have been doing a lot of research....Good Luck, keep us posted, would like to see some photos when you get it...

We always hoped to build a tiny travel trailers and this forum was inspiring although we never got the time, energy or space to do it: www.tnttt.com/

You must absolutely start and maintain a blog . I never heard of anyone full timing in a tear drop so there are probably a lot of people that would like to keep track of your progress.

We built and used our teardrop for about ten years. Some off road use and some teardrop/vintage trailer events. Events were fun and almost cult like, some very nicely built trailers. People put a lot of time and effort into setting up their camp areas. As for sleeping you are off the ground. I consider it above sleeping in a tent. Also easy to use to transport and set up your needed supplies. We enjoyed many years of camping in our teardrop. When we started we had two dogs and added one more. We managed to have lots of good times. Hope you enjoy yours.

Hi Diane - how fun! We did our first year on the road in a tear drop, well, a T@b (thanks for the shout out SnowGypsy!). Most teardrop folks considered us tear drop enough anyway to get invited to the meet ups.
Fun times, for sure. But man, do I love the luxury of having a bathroom in our RV now.

T@B now makes a unit with a wet bath and something called a T@G now since they were bought by Little Guy, one of the teardrop camper manufacturers. We saw one of the 5' wide Little Guy's at a street fair a few years ago and there really is more room than one would think. The smaller a unit, if better quality, the more efficient use of space. I wanted to mention also that we bought a book called "Popping Up Across American" written by a couple that full-timed in a pop-up. It is "A Travelogue and How To Guide" and could be useful since they have a lot of tips and equipment lists for anyone going small. I have read part way into the book about their travel adventures and it is well written and they are seeing a lot of what we would be interested, the more "outback". Now, if not for security purposes, I would full-time in a pop-up.
