I have the data for campgrounds... Looking for someone that has been there.
Looks to be pretty pricey down that way..
For the month of January.
Thanks

January is a peak month. Many campgrounds in that area require a 3 month stay that includes February, if they have any spaces left. Larry and Penny Thompson in Miami is the nicest, Gold Coaster in Homestead would be next, Paradise Island in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Everglades in Miami are good, Southern Comfort and the city campground in Florida City are not great, but will do. We have stayed at or visited all of these over the years.

Check the size of the campsites closely in South Florida, especially the commercial ones. Most were built a long time ago for trailers that were a lot shorter.Just keep this in mind.I’ve been to some in Ft. Lauderdale where the only way to get into a campsite is to back in from the main road all the way to the site. It can be a bit different for a MH vs. a big 5er as to getting in - or out.
BTW, even Walt Disney World has been renovating the on-site CG, Ft. Wilderness; because it was built in the 1970’s and is pretty small by today’s standards. It may be done by now.

Junkman,
3 months in one spot is not a bad deal in Florida. I lived in Miami for more than 5 years and went to the Keys, the Everglades and many other places. Met my DH and we managed Mobile Home parks, worked for different businesses and had our own remodel business. During that time we lived in Dade City, Sanford, Clearwater, Tallahassee, Ormond Beach and Crescent City. Your RV can be just your home base while you explore the surrounding areas. It's hard to be bored in Fl, it may be hot, muggy and buggy but it's very diverse and has lots of things to see and enjoy. From the ocean to the Gulf with swamps and lakes in between, old towns, cities, parks, zoos, castles and monasteries, you'll find it in that Sunshine State.

we have been to Larry and Penny twice. I think it is the best option in Miami. Well laid out, quiet at night and not too far away from everything. The reviews say it all.
Good luck.
