Does anyone have any experience or know anything at all about either of these mattresses or any non-toxic mattresses on the market out there?
This is the only article I've found on the subject.
Any and all suggestions are useful and welcome.
Thanks in advance. :)

I would be cautious with both of the mattresses you listed. Most of the gel and latex type mattresses I've seen, eventhough the specs show no smell, have a smell to them. It's not a pleasant smell and in fact caused irritation to my eyes and sinuses.
I tried a "cool" pillow a year or so ago, it had the same type of material used in the luxury cool mattress. It smelled and the reviews on the internet indicated the smell would go away in a few days. I tried everything and the smell continued for over a month. I had to stop using it until the smell finally did go away.

Thanks for your personal story. This is exactly the helpful post that I'm looking for. You've added a constructive contribution that cannot otherwise be found by simply using a search engine.
Did you end up changing mattresses? If so, to which one & why?
Thanks again for your helpfulness, it's much appreciated. :)

I know nothing about the construction of the mattress, but we've been extremely happy with two different Select Comfort (Sleep Number) mattresses. We've had them in our stix n brix and now in our Mobile Suites. In our case, neither of us have issues with the material in mattress "fabrics." At least, with air mattresses for each side in the Select Comfort, there is a lot less of the materials inside.

ALL foam or gel have plasticizers that aid in the polymerization of the monomers to make the foam or gel - - these will probably off-gas over time. Higher temperatures will lead to quicker off-gassing. Cooler temperatures will mean longer for the volatile compounds to migrate out and dissipate in the environment.
There is no such thing as a non-toxic anything. Even water and oxygen are toxic in the correct dose. First rule in toxicology: "The dose makes the poison."
So I'm on a quest to find a non-toxic green mattress for my RV.
I'm currently looking at the MobilePlush Eco Green RV Mattress & the Luxury Cool-MAX Gel Foam RV Mattress II.
