Thanks for all the great posts and advice over the past 18 months. We bought a 2007 Allegro Bus from Woodard Auto and RV in Huntsville, AL. It was a good sales experience and Jeff specializes in Tiffin products. He makes sure every coach has all issues fixed in Red Bay and even makes upgrades before he puts them on the market.
Now on our third day in the bus with about 400 miles driving experience and getting to know the systems. She is a complex beast. Going slow and double checking everything trying not to make any serious newbie mistakes.
Funny, I was cooking bacon outside on a electric skillet this morning and the couple in the TT next to us said hello. I told them we just bought the bus and that our last RV was a pop-up, so I am just use to cooking outside. They said it was quite an upgrade. I said yeah, the pop-up only had the two slide outs, this one has four. They laughed. Hey man, we all hook the white water hose up the same way.

Congratulations! That is a big step up but cooking bacon outside is always a way to meet the neighbors!

We to have a class A & I do 90% of my cooking out side. After 43 years of working inside with no windows, just love to be outdoors. Sunrise & sunsets are Gods gift, enjoy them all.

When I was 4 years old, my parents took my sister and I on a trip to the Tetons. I remember eating at a chuck wagon between Jackson and Colter Bay, and pleading with my dad to eat in one of the teepees they had there. That is where we ended up eating. Fast forward 40 years: Diana and I are driving the same route, and we spotted the teepees. There was no way on earth we were going to eat in one of them, as the vista of that grand mountain range beckoned us. It was then that I realized just how much my parents were willing to give up for me. We revisited the same spot a couple of years ago and witnessed a repeat of my childhood experience. The little boy was tugging on his dad's pant leg, pleading to eat in the teepee. Dad dutifully traipsed the family into the tent, only to look back over his shoulder at the view he was giving up. I could just imagine that my father had done the same thing, all those years before. We saw them in the parking lot a little later, and we had to stop and tell them our story...and just how special they were as parents.
So, in some instances, there are times when eating inside is warranted. 99.9% of the time, that is not the case. :)
Congratulations on your Allegro! Many happy miles and memories!

First 1000 miles driving the bus and have found three things I like about driving a MH.
1. Stuck in traffic so went back and got a couple cokes out of the refrigerator.
2. Air horns. Just used them on the DW so far, but what man doesn't want his own air horns?
3. Pants are optional. You can go back and get dressed after you stop so driving in PJs is fine.

Heh....
Still trying to get the wife to let me put air horns on the F450. However, with pants being optional, don't do anything that will get the police to pull you over. They might not understand why it is that you aren't opening your door and disembarking from your coach. Long delays might make them want to call in backup and that's not a pretty sight. (My story is for around a campfire. Too long to relate here on a forum. Just let me advise to NOT let anyone else call 9-1-1 and say, "He didn't want me to call 9-1-1.")
