Hello all. In February, I attended a local RV show and decided to get a 14-16 foot travel trailer. Sounded neat. I thought a "fifth wheel" was the spare tire! Research and an awakening followed and in late May, I bought an entire rig (1 ton truck and 37' fifth wheel) from a fellow, turned the key and drove away. Not sure if it was ambition or raw greed, but the travel trailer idea just didn't make it for me. I still love the Casita fiberglass trailers and will have one some day as an extra, though.
This week is my last week in my apartment. I'm sitting in the apartment now; empty but for a fold out table, a blow up mattress and this laptop (relentlessly clinging to its last breath of high speed broad band). I'm moving into my fifth wheel in about a week to full time.
Howard and Linda - great story and site. Hope to see you all on the trail.

Hello back from Illinois, welcome aboard. You obviously have a great sense of humor, one of the key ingredients for a successful adventure.
Let the good times roll!!
