Just hearing now about the 6.0 magnitude earthquake which struck in Napa Valley down to the SF area. I believe some of you might be out there or have family that is. Please report in and let us know you're ok!

I live (well, lived) 1 1/2 hrs from Napa. We're driving today, but I've had family/friends update me a bit. Heard 3 were critically injured, 80+ injured and no deaths. That was about 10am, mountain time today. I'll have to wait for the news tonight. Heard many buildings had damage. All that shaking isn't good for the wine though!

Thanks to building codes and earthquake retrofit for older buildings it's a lot safer than it used to be in California. However, this was a real shaker so lots of stuff flew off of shelves and that's when folks get hurt.
A buddy said everytime he tried to get out of bed something else flew at him so he finally just got in a fetal position and rode it out covered with a blanket. He wasn't hurt.
