We've been out looking for our future full timing coach and are currently looking at the Cardinal by Forrest River. We would like to hear your opinions on the pro's and con's of fiberglass siding with decals vs. Gel Coat siding with painted graphics?
Thank you!

Well for sure the painted graphics will last longer and look better......................But more expensive.

How long will you keep the coach? Our coach is a 1993, and the vinyl is starting to peel in a couple of places. I suspect that in the next 5-7 years it will be time for something to be done. The advantage to the vinyl decals is that they can be peeled off, albeit with a fair amount of effort. That will leave a plain white coach. A little more elbow grease can get it all prepped for new vinyl decals, which can update the look. Full body paint is much more work to change.
If I had the money to buy a new coach, I'd go for the full-body paint, but most of it would be white, with only some accent colors. No black or dark brown for me, even if that is what most of the new coaches have.

I was told you have to maintain the Gel Coat siding treating and buffing or it will get "chalky." I was wondering if anyone knows how often that has to be done and the cost of maintaining?
