We recently purchased a 1996 Fleetwood Tioga class c motorhome. We got the propane take filled, but it will not work. Nothing, not the burners or hot water or refrigerator. We thought maybe the solenoid was bad. It has been changed and still nothing. Any other advice? When we try to light the burners, nothing comes out...we can't hear or smell any gas.

check the regulator....it is most likely stuck or bad if you have no gas onboard.....

also if you just filled the tank and it is a POL safety valve on the tank......shut it off and turn it back on....its possible it is in lockout

Like Mike said, but with one caveat, close the valve, wait five minutes, no not four, five I said, and re-open the POL veeerrrry sloooowwwwly. Those things cause numerous cuss words when they click off as you open the valve. That is hoping the regulator is not failed.

I believe that solenoid you replaced is controlled by the propane gas detector usually located inside below the refrigerator or oven. Is that switch on? Or may the detector is bad?

We had no idea that switch needed to be on. It chirped for a good while, so we kept turning it off. I turned it on and waited until the chirping stopped. Propane is working!!! Thanks Jim!
