Hi everyone! How do you prevent cat litter from being tracked on the floor of your RV? Thanks in advance!

We surround the litter box with mats that collect the litter from paws, but some still gets through. These mats can be bought at pet stores. You might also need to change litter, the clay stuff sticks more. We use S'Wheat Scoop.

I don't know how to stop it but you can decrease it a lot as Bill mentioned. The mat we use fits partially under the box and sticks out in front 18 inches or so. It has a bunch of little points that project up. I think we got it at a Petco store.
We also have the whole setup sitting in a boot tray we got at Home Depot. The trays are usually used to place boots/shoes on when you go inside a house.
In the RV we still had to do a quick sweep in the vicinity of the litter box every few days.
Now in the house, Alice (our Roomba) is programmed to come out and vacuum the house on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Her charging base station is located in the laundry room along with the litter box so she cleans it first.

Like Bill we use SWheat litter and have very little that gets walked out. We have been using the dog training pads under the front of the litter box because, at age 17, Shadow doesn't get all the way in the box in time. They do a great job at catching particles as well as drips and clean up is very, very easy.

We use a top entry litter box that is much taller than a normal little box, kitty jumps in an out from the lid that is textured, leaving the vast majority of litter in the box or on the lid.
The rest is vacuumed on a regular basis, much to kitty's dismay, we always have to find her again after the vacuuming has finished.

We also use a type of cat litter mat, but we place the litter box so that the opening is almost against a wall, with the mat in front of the opening - between the box and the wall. That way he can't jump out and take off, spreading litter everywhere. He has to go slowly out and that helps most of the litter to be removed from his paws by the mat. It has cut the amount of litter on the floor tremendously.
