I asked one of the workers here that I was friends with to please not contact my ex boyfriend. She came over to my lot today and knocked on my door when I came out I sat down and she threatened to kick my arse and kill me. I asked her to leave the lot and not come back. She was a friend and I borrowed her a ring to go on a cruise...I texted the phone and asked her to please return it to the office and I will pick it up there. Within minutes she was at my door again with the ring but instead of just handing it to me she pushed her way into my RV and pushed me around... I screamed for her to leave and she said I dare you to call 911.
The police were called because she would not leave the inside of my RV and was telling me she was going to kick my arse Nothing ever came of it and the managers of the park went over to her house to make sure she was ok. I was sitting outside and heard them all laughing and joking never came by here to see if I was ok.
Is that normal for a workcamper to be allowed to threaten a resident and the managers not do a thing about it other than laugh at the situation and at me? Plus steal things off my patio.

I think she does. I just asked her to not contact my ex boyfriend and trust me I know everyone that hasn't paid rent or drinks... etc.
But to threaten someone is uncalled for.

There's a reason RVs have wheels. I would not give that park any more of my money and would move as soon as it is practical to do so. I would also tell the park management why I was leaving and file a police report on the stolen items. But that's just me.

The park management was the ones that laughed about it outside. You can hear for miles in a vacant rv park.
I have an option of leaving in 6 months because of season down here everything is full. I am floored that the management allows the worker (friend or no friend) to charge into a residents rv after already thrown off the lot once then push my aside and charge into my house and threaten to kick my arse and kill me

RV park living can be a lot like apartment living. Management can be good or bad. I would just try to avoid those that are causing an issue since you can't leave for awhile, not loan anything, not leave anything outside and whatever is going on with the ex-boyfriend, I would leave that alone too if possible. You can involve the police but other than moving, I don't see any other options.

I would bet that if you really looked there is a spot open in another park. RV's have wheels and unless you are liking the drama, it is time to leave. It should be the slow season in Fl with lots of open spots at parks. To me, it is now on you if you stay in this situation. I would have already packed up and left even if I had to driveway surf for a few days until I found something. You can still file a police report because if she was not invited into your 'home' and she would not leave, then she is trespassing.

My opinion (worth every penny you paid me <grin>) is that whenever you leave your rig you make sure that nothing is outside and everything is locked. At this point you can't do anything about the fact that everyone in the park has a key to your outside storage (they all have the same lock), but at least if the compartment is locked it will slow down anyone who is trying to get your stuff. Keep your vehicle doors locked, and the coach door also should be unlocked only when you are going in or out.
If you have a lease you are probably stuck with at least paying for the time you have contracted for. Use some time now to look for another place to go. When you find one you can ask about getting out of the lease. If you don't have a lease, don't let anyone know that you are looking elsewhere. When you find one settle up at your current place and leave. DO NOT leave any forwarding information at the current park.
Again, keep everything locked at all times and don't leave anything outside.

If, in fact, they ignore your complaint about an out-of-control employee (workkamper) and have actually "laughed" you off, then after you have left the park at the end of any lease, go to RV Park Reviews (if you are actually in an RV park) and leave a review without naming names. Don't do it before or someone is likely to continue to give you a hard time.
Secondly, never loan anything of value to anyone you either aren't related to or have known for years, no matter how much of a friend they are.
Thirdly, notify the police if items have been stolen from your RV lot. I don't know where you are or if the police in that area are more than constables, but at least get the crime reported. Unless you have proof of who took your stuff, then don't name anyone you suspect unless the police ask you about it. Let them be the ones to confront anyone that might be a suspect. However, you may have to encounter an unpleasant person if that is done, because that person that is suspected may do more to make your life miserable.
Forget about restraining orders. Having worked in a law enforcement agency and being involved with the documentation of crimes into the criminal database, I can attest that a LOT of people ignore restraining orders, and in may cases, the serving of an order just aggravates the matter even further.
Before obtaining any firearm for defense, make sure that in the state where you currently reside that you have the rights of "Castle Doctrine," even in your own RV on property owned by someone else. Castle Doctrine spells out what rights of defense you have if threatened in your own home.

I have a lease here because I am year round. The problem in the SW Florida area is that 99% of the RV parks here are 55 and older. I don't qualify for that yet.
Yes in fact the managers were laughing about the situation and I heard them as plain as day talking about it. I do not want to get a gun...I could be easily overpowered. She does have a gun and the other thing I know is it is not registered in her name because she has a felony and spent time in prison. So if she was to break into my RV and shoot me it could not be traced to her. I need Scrappys dog for a month...lol.
If I could afford to buy out my lease and move I would. But at this point I do not have that option. I am numb. My first experience as a full time RVer and this happens.

You've already called the police. There is record of that. A lease is not worth your life. You asked the forum for advice. Everyone said leave.
No one thinks your situation is "normal" - of course. You know a lot about this person so she is obviously not just a workkamper but someone you have gotten to know. She knows your ex-boyfriend. There's history there so it is not just a campground situation - it's personal.
Contact legal aide - I imagine you could break the lease without buying it out. If you are truly in fear for your safety then get out, go, leave, move.

Sounds like you need to talk to an attorney. We can give you all sorts of opinions, and we mean well, but we really can't help you in your specific situation. Most attorneys around here advertise that the first visit is free, so it shouldn't cost you anything to find out what your options really are.

Thanks to everyone on here I did get moved to another park without any added expense. Camping world moved my 5er without any money also!! shocker I know!! and the new park waved the first and last month fees due to circumstances.
I am now taking Terrys advice to take it to the RV Reviews. I hope and pray nobody else ever has to go through this. I still do not understand how someone with a felony record is allowed to carry a hand gun and be a workcamper. I understand giving second chances but after a work camper representing the park threatens a person that pays rent their employment should be terminated. In my opinion. I had to go through a background check with the old and new park just to park my 5er.
I normally do not address this.. but suse there is a reason he is an ex.

I know that junkman...my father was an attorney, my grandfather was a judge, and my uncle was a state trooper. It all depends on the charges they were up against and hers will never allow her that. I am a firm believer in second chances...but she is also a repeat offender.

I agree with you on the restraining orders. A piece of paper intended to escalate the situation. I'd go for developing survival skills in self-defense over obtaining a weapon that also requires training, practice and intent to use lethal force. Fact is if you don't have any skills in fighting to end the issue I'd pull out and find a new neighbor hood. Violence is violence no matter how you cut it. Pushing and shoving is aggressive behavior, so where do you want to take it. Intimidation and bullying are fear objectives intended to trigger the fight or flight response.
Not intending to step on anyone toes here, but I feel were missing something in the discussion. One side of the story and not all the facts...need more information on the Who, What, When Where and Why. Anyone want to fill in the blanks?

If she is a felon and cannot legally posses a firearm there's a whole bunch of folks of the jack booted thug variety that might take an interest. All you have to do is call the local office and talk to the duty agent but they may have to wait on a referral from local PD to officially open a case.
Along with everyone else here, I concur on just leaving if you can. Karma has a way of finding folks like that and if you can extricate yourself from the situation with your well-being intact it has to be an option with a high priority.
