Eileen and I visited Mt Rushmore this morning and then Crazy Horse Memorial this afternoon. Tomorrow we're off to Sturgis and Deadwood. We were standing in the parking lot getting ready to leave the Memorial when Eileen reminded me I wanted to buy a raffle ticket for a Harley Davidson being raffled off in September. When I got to the counter the the sales person said to me "you must be a fan of Howard and Linda." My first thought was how does he know that? Second is he psychic? Then I remembered I was wearing my RV-Dreams hat from the 2014 Spring rally. Turns out I was talking to Phil of WorkinRVers. We had a short but nice chat, wish I had more time. The Crazy Horse Memorial is pet friendly and there is more to see and do than appears when you first arrive. Very informative. If we have time we might go back for the laser light show tonight.

Was my pleasure meeting you Gene. Wishing you both safe travels and hopefully we can meet up again somewhere along the highway. I too wish we had more time to talk, maybe next time.
Good luck on the Harley raffle, I'll still be here in September when they draw for it so if you win I would be happy to ride it to wherever you are and deliver it, may take me awhile to get there though. LOL

Phil and Rudee are awesome!! We also met them last August in SD when they were working at Crazy Horse. We won't be back this year but would love to meet up with them again. We had a fun evening in Hill City SD with a group of RV Dreamers, swapping stories!! They were the first people I thought of last September when we were in CO and were told to evacuate our campground due to flooding. All I could do was be thankful that we could leave with our rig and admire their bravery in leaving in a front loader with their rig left behind!!

Hey, Phil. If you do deliver that motorcycle, be sure and drop down to Colorado Springs and let us have a ride on it. I'm pretty sure we'll be back to Mountaindale by then. Oh, and I won't be wanting to drive it, just take a ride.

Phil,
If I win the Harley that would be awesome and you can take as long as you want to deliver it! (Just as long as it's insured ) I hope you fared well in that storm last night. It came through Hermosa about 4 am. I thought We were going to wake up in a different zip code. I hope we run into each other again.

Gene, We were sure "rockin' and rollin'" early this morning but came through it just fine.
Terry, no problem arranging a ride! Now all that needs to happen is for Gene to win the bike!
Dale and Ruth, we have been back to the Alpine Inn a couple of times this season and always remember the night we all shared there. Ready to repeat that night again for sure!

Met a couple a couple weeks ago where she was calling him "Dave" up to when they got engaged. That is when she saw paperwork that listed his name as "Dan". He didn't correct her and everyone thought there was a story behind why she called him "Dave". They have now been married over 30 years and she learned to call him "Dan".

Phil,
When will you be delivering my new Harley? I hope you're dressed warm. I hear it's cold up there. We'll be in Myrtle Beach next week, then meandering down to Georgia and on to Florida. When you get close I'll update you with my address. Take your time and enjoy the ride.

sorry Gene, a guy from Arlington, Washington won it and is picking it up later this week I had my fingers crossed for ya too!
Last Thursday we had almost 10" of snow fall here. Snowed all day Thursday and was pretty miserable. The temps are slowly rebounding and should be back into the 70's tomorrow and the rest of the week so I may be able to get my Harley out again.

Phil, I'm not sure whom to to feel sorry for: me because I didn't win the Harley or you because you didn't get to ride it out to me. Wow 10 inches of snow already! I hope it warmed up for you guys.
