The roof resealing is complete, so we leave this campground tomorrow. It will be the first time we get to hitch up on our own, without supervision. Really NOT looking forward to it, and hoping the road (I-75 then I-10 from Orlando to Lynn Haven, FL) is straight forward with no low overpasses.
We don't want to drive the 5-1/2 hrs straight, so we plan to stop overnight and wally-dock at about the halfway point. Mostly the reason is that we'll need to back into Mitch's brother's driveway and if we don't arrive there until dinner time, we'll land up still attempting to park and set up in the dark. Would rather arrive early in the day.

Cheryl, the "I" in the roads you mentioned are a dead give away that there will be no low overpasses. Besides, I've driven that route often and there are none. I don't recall any low overpasses in or around Panama City.

Mitch & Cheryl, have driven both routes many times and there are no low overpasses to worry about on either road. However, if you plan on staying at a Walmart, watch the entries to make sure they do not have low clearance bars over the entrances. Some Walmarts have began doing this to prevent RV's and Truck from stopping overnight due to local city ordnances that prevent it. Not all of these bars are clearly marked so if you see them you can be assured you will not clear them even if not marked and they will severely damage your rig if you hit them. We have not had this happen but have seen rigs that did and have also seen the bars at some Walmart stores in Arkansas so just be aware. Have a safe first trip and enjoy!

Congrats on your next adventure! When hitching up, check and re-check to be sure you are not high-hitched or incompletely hitched. I always do a pull test with my front landing pads about an inch off the ground. I also painted the hook on my hitch with white paint. That way, when I get under the 5er and look, I can see that it fully closed.
Take your time and enjoy!
