have noticed a small yellow tag in upper right corner of several of my posts. What is the tag telling me?
have only posted a few times. Am I posting in the wrong place? Do not want to continue doing whatever is causing tag to come up
if in error some way. Just don't know why tag is there.

I don't have an answer to your question. I just wanted to see if I got a little yellow tag in the upper right hand corner of my post. I did not I must not be "special". Go figure.
I'm pretty sure one of the monitors will chime in with an answer to your question before long. Pat K

Ron or Nancy (whomever is asking),
If you are referring to the little tag in the title area BEFORE one clicks on your thread, it is for what is called a "meta-tag." A meta-tag is a feature on forums that allows one to insert "tag words" that would show up to the right of that title area. If one were to "click" on one of those meta-tags, it would serve as a "search function" to find posts that have the same word or meta-tag in them.
If I remember right, the little yellow tag ONLY shows up to the individual who has started that thread and to those of us that are administrators (Howard and Linda) and moderators (Genecop and myself)
Since most of the forum participants don't use meta-tags, it is not a big feature here at RV Dreams. Personally, I've never used a meta-tag and don't really see a need to do so.
Hope this has answered your questions.

In the area Terry mentions (to the left of the post before you click to read it), I see 2 colors - yellow or blue. If you hover over them, the yellow says "new posts" and the blue one says "no new posts". Not sure if that's the right answer either.

Cheryl,
I've never really noticed those before. However, if one is logged in and opens a forum "category," new posts are also indicated by the title of the thread being in bold letters. That is what I always use when looking to see what probably has new postings. If one is NOT logged in, those yellow and blue icons don't appear as they do when one is logged in and thus one can't see the text that one does when the cursor is over the icon.
In the image below, the little yellow tag is pointed out by the arrow. It is only visible in threads that one has posted themselves. As mentioned before, administrators and moderators can see those meta-tag indicators in your thread title, but other members can't. They can only see their own.

Maybe it's a price tag.
