Dont do it....

it requires a full flow watersource to operate.....it also requires the water source to breakdown the solids left in the tank , so you can count on having clogs as you try to use it over time...

if you are going to invest your money for this type of system so you can have the smaller waste hose for more dumping options Get a Flo jet macerator kit or an equivalent

I have this unit and 50' of 3/4 hose , I can dump thru residential toilets....outside D-Boxes...anywhere there is waste access even uphill without problems.........probably one of the few investments on the coach that paid itself off quickly just by saving me dump fees!!

I have and use a sewer solution. It operates differently than a macerator. If you don't have enough water to power the sewer solution then yes a macerator would work better. But with water to start the flow (don't need to keep water running once it starts) and water flow if you need to break up a clog then the sewer solution works really well. And there is no impeller or other parts to unclog when hair wraps around the impeller and stalls it.
I have 2 15' hose sections and keep a few 8' pieces of pvc pipe and connectors in order to extend it longer if needed.
Normally I use my rhino flex hose but at our winter stopover it is about 40' to the septic tank and about 6" higher than the ground so the sewer solution is needed.
I've been using it for almost 2 years and wouldn't be without it.

I do not plan to use it regularly as I have watched the various videos on line and it is slower as stated.
My thought is to use it at home should the need arise, my "dump station" is on the wrong side of my drive so this would make it easier to use.

My main question is about the DIFFERENCE if any in the two items.

I met a guy down in Florida a couple of years ago that used a sewer solution all the time. He really like it. Where I spend my summers I do not have a sewer connection near by. I have a Flo-Jet macerator pump and 100' of 3/4" hose and use it for about 5 months every summer. I dump once a week and it has worked well. When I got it I looked into getting the Sewer Solution and since I have to go so far and slightly up hill I didn't think it would work.

macerator will move the waste quickly and without the added assistance of having to connect water.

the macerator will emulsify all solid waste in the tank quickly and pump it long distance .

Looking at the 2 items I have the one sold at Amazon. But the only apparent difference is the quick connect for the water hose. I'd buy the cheaper one and save a few bucks.
