Will be heading to Las Vegas mid June. Anyone got any ideas for the best park? I have done a lot of research, but the reviews are all over the place. Thanking you in advance, PK, in La.

We have only RVd on one trip to Vegas. We stayed at the KOA behind Circua Circus. It was easy to get into and out of, nice clean and accessible. We were not towing at the time so we wanted to be close to the strip. Planning another trip in a couple of months and will be towing this time. I think we will most likely stay further off the strip this time, maybe even in Boulder.

I would recommend 2. Oasis & Las Vegas RV Resort. Oasis is more $ and for that you get a location just off the strip. LV RV Resort is a few miles from the strip but nice as well. It will be hot in June. If you have a car stay at LVRVR.

I would agree with Las Vegas RV Resort. It is close to Sams Town and the strip is accessible from there.

Oasis is quite expensive for the time we will be there, not that we cannot afford it. Anyone know anything about Arizona Charlies? Thank you, P.K.

Before we had Thousand Trails we used to stay at Arizona Charlie's and liked it. Of course both it and the Thousand Trails are in the area The Junkman says we should avoid. Sam's Club is also in that area.

AZ Charlies is a nice place BUT...its only a few blocks from Las Vegas RV Resort, has Zero security in a bad part of town. If it were me, I'd stay at Las Vegas RV Resort where the security is fantastic. With LVRVR you need a pass to enter (with car or walking) and security patrols (and asks you for ID) all night. LVRVR is just as nice as AZC. AZC is on a busy street (noisy) whereas LVRVR is set back from Nellis.

I would go with Oasis if money is no object but we stayed at LVRVR for 8 months until June 2013 and had no problems. There is security there as has been stated. Having said that anything can happen anywhere, in any place, just have to be alert. We didn't have a need to walk outside the park. We lived in Vegas for 20 years and the East side has gone downhill but there are crimes all over even in the wealthy Summerlin area.

Thank you for all the replies. I think we are going with the LVRV Park, seems the safest of all, except Oasis, but we are not paying their price. PK, In la.

I think LVRVR is $29/night. You might book a couple of nights and then look at the others like AZ Charlies etc and move if you like something better. My guess is that in June LVRVR won't be busy.

Depends on what you are looking for, I guess, but we stayed out in Boulder City at the Lake Mead RV Village. It's technically in the National Recreation Area, so you need to pay the entry fee or have a National Parks Pass, but it's a nice little RV Park. No pool or anything, but they have some great sites overlooking the lake, and you are literally minutes from Hoover Dam and some great hiking in the park. We did drive into the city a few times -- not a bad drive -- about 30 minutes to the strip, but plenty of shopping/restaurants around in Henderson/Boulder City.
