I just bought a new laptop computer that will be used for Ham radio logging and RV related things, (no grand kids use for games and all they do).
My question is what brand type of security software do y'all use, the laptop runs windows7.
thanks
Jim

I run Norton with the automatic online back up feature. It's not rated at the top, but close and good enough wherein I've never had a problem with security. Also suggest Malwarebytes - the paid version. Also think about Ghostery which is a free Firefox add on in addition to Ad-Ware. Also a free download.

Kaspersky on Win 7 and Win 8.1 and also back in day on XP. 4 Machines - has worked well over the past 7 years.

I use Avast Internet Security (the pay version). No troubles for several years.
