Anyone else run into or heard of anyone having this problem? We just picked up our new 2013 Dodge dually in IL. Then off to MI to get the hitch put on the truck and drive our new 5er home to CA. There was a problem though. They couldn't get the 26K Husky adapter plates to mount because it seems the Dodge doesn't have enough clearance underneath. The only manufacturer that has addressed this is the B&W Companion 1314 Gooseneck Adapter. So it is being overnighted to us so we can get on down the road! This makes us 1 day late so far. We heard that 2012/13 Fords had a similar problem. Seems strange that this is even possible let alone no one really notice it until now. The dealer we are getting our trailer from is a very large dealership. Everything has been great until this.

I'd be hesitant in using a GOOSENECK ADAPTER, some mfrgs will void their warranties is an adapter is used due to the issues of the adapter putting undue strain and forces on the front frame asm that due to the way the adapter pulls on the pin box.

Looks like you have same truck as mine..
Mine came with factory holes in the floor.. what a mess getting the the "picture frame" mount..
I seem to remember the guys on the dodge Fourms having no issue installing hitches.. I would call the manufacture.. or Etrailer seems pretty good too.

I really like my B&W companion 5th wheel hitch.
Have had it for 6 years and it is still the best operating hitch I have used in 40 years of RVing.
