We have been toying with the idea of an RV lifestyle ever since my husband returned from Vietnam in the 70s; his plan was to modify a van and travel our great country. That didn't happen and, well, life ensued. Yet the idea still simmered on the back burner, and the research and planning were turned up several notches in the last couple of years. We're now technically retired and our house will be on the market in a few days.
This website and the forums have provided a wealth of info and advice to help inform our decisions --- readying ourselves to sell the S&B, paring down our "stuff," preparing our finances, narrowing down our RV and TV choices, becoming more aware of the many possibilities of living and working while full-timing, and so on.
Our RV dream is hopefully just a few months down the road, which is both scary and exhilarating! Many thanks for the friendliness and opinions, past and future.

Welcome to the forum and our gratitude to your husband for his service. If you haven't signed up yet for the fall Rally, you might miss your chance. We highly recommend these rally's as you learn so much and have such fun!
Best of luck on the home sale.

"Thank you!" to all for your kind welcome. One of the joys we're looking forward to (when we finally shove off) is meeting up with other rv-ers, including vets. Our appreciation to all military veterans, those currently serving, their spouses and families.
