I'll start off with mine;

I would always get razzed when ever I would trailer my '65 Satellite to a show or a "Race Car" to a track. They'd go on constantly "Trailer Queen"........."Trailer Queen". That's when I finally had enough and said "Uh uh.....It's not Trailer Queen, It's TRAILERKING". I've kinda kept that name for many years.

Mine is pretty obvious. My DH and I always have at least three cats in the house and one time had a queen cat with five kittens (plus neighborhood cats we fed) and got up to 10 inside. Many cats describes me to a T.

I'm big, both tall and wide....in Boy Scouts I used to swim in streams and lakes no matter how cold the water was so the guys used to call me Polar Bear.
I shortened it to Bear but that user name is usually already taken so now it is "The Bear II".

We were inspired by the original technomad, Steve Roberts.. who in the 1980s set off on a geeked out recumbent bicycle to explore the country. He had satellite uplink, a handlebar keyboard, heads up display and more.
We've become friends with him over the years, and selected Technomadia for our own journey in homage to his inspiration.

Bigboomer is actually the name we gave our truck but was derived from our little boy Boomer the Beagle, who is no longer with us. He always thought he was bigger than he was so this is why we named the truck after him.
It has been 4 years and I still miss him like it was yesterday.

When I first got on the internet sites wanted a sign in name and I didn't want to use my first name. I thought of my Dad naming my first pet which was a rabbit. He said "how about tibbar.....rabbit spelled backwards". Every time I think about that name, I can visualize exactly where we were setting in the back yard of the house in O'Fallon Illinois when Dad came up with that name. I'll know I have lost my mind when that memory is gone.

I got my first computer and got onto the interwebz in the late nineties. Being the gearhead, I was into fast cars... 4th Gen F-Bodies specifically. Naturally, the first message boards I found were CamaroZ28.com, LS1.com and several others. Being from Northwest Florida, I thought of names relating to beaches and such and settled on Riptide (aka rip currents, undertow, etc), and I also liked the tv show. I've used the name on message boards ever since, sometimes adding 63 (the year I was born) to the end if Riptide wasn't available. It's followed me out of the fast car thing, into and through the Jeep thing, and now most recently into the RV thing. Still have the Camaro and the Jeep. The Jeep will make an excellent toad someday, the Camaro... well... that's going to be a really sore subject when the time comes that I'll have to part ways with it.

We came up with the name because the first thing that happens as soon as we get on the road is a bug crashes into our clean windshield. Not that I drive into them, they should be able to see me coming and get out of the way. The rest of the trip I am gripping at the mess that is left behind. The 07 was the year we bought our first RV and started our journey in life.

When it came to picking a name, I was sitting out on our deck one day and watched our little dog running around in the same patch of grass. Something tweaked a memory I had as a child reading about Lil' Abner and hearing the name Dogpatch. I started using it about 4 years ago now and it's become my user name for many web sites I am a member of.

Trailerking commented on our name on another thread a few days ago. The meaning is a little obvious of course but has a backstory. We live in northern Alberta, Canada and the last couple of winters have been worse than normal or maybe I'm just getting older and it seems like it is. The day I signed on to RV Dreams as I looked out the window it was snowing and blowing yet again, the temp outside was never getting above -20C (about -10F I think) for daytime highs and I said to my wife "just think, when we go FT RV it can be December and there will be no more snow". Just part of our dream

Graduated three years ago from Culinary School. Drove 300 extra miles per week to go back and forth to the closest culinary school for classes three days per week, after working all day in the office. Wanted to do that in my twenties--had kids. Wanted to do that in my 40's--had grandkids. Did it in my mid-50's and at the time of graduation in 2011, still had a 13 year old, and my 25 year old with her new baby girl living with us at home----hence ChefMom!

We are both in the same department and no-one every knew who they were talking about. Since I am the one and only nurse working here, hence the name NurseJudy. I figured it pretty much sums me up, might as well keep it.

When creating accounts on several of the RV-related forums, I tried to come up with something witty. Obviously, I'm not very good at that (you're in good company, Debbie!). There are many unique things that would set my wife and/or me apart, but the thought that kept returning - and I couldn't ignore - was the second chance I've been given in life. My first wife and I had been married for 36 years when she died in a traffic accident in March of 2008 (we had actually been a couple and knew this was a lifetime thing since we were 13). As you might imagine, I had no desire to continue living. Later that year, I met and married my "new" wife and that experience changed everything. The "new normal" isn't like the "old normal," but I never dreamed life could be this good again. Thus, I've been given a Second Chance.
