hello all, looking at buying a 2006 Southwind 32ft MH. wondering if i could get some feedback on quality and durability from the forum. Is this okay for fulltiming? the home has 37,500 miles and is a Ford V10, gas engine. Would appreciate any and all feedback, pro or con. thanks, ric

The V10 and Ford chassis, no problem, a long and proven track record. Southwind's are built more as vacation motorhomes, but we see fulltimers and extended travelers with them all the time. Fleetwood normally used very standard and readily available appliances and RV parts to make their units. Check it over well and try to get a feeling on how well it has been maintained. Make sure everything works, including appliances, and check for water leaks and damage. At 32ft, it might have some compromises in floorplan, like no counter space in the kitchen. So, make doubly sure the floorplan will work for you. It also would not surprise me if the tires were old, they only last 5 to 7 years. Do check the carrying capacity sticker, normally in a cabinet by the driver seat or kitchen.

You might also want to check any slides and the leveling apparatus to make sure they work. I think I read a thread not too long ago about someone who bought a MH and the auto leveling didn't work.
Really hope everything is in order, and that this works out! Good luck!
