FYI all, April 14, 2014 there will be a total lunar eclipse. For the those that can stay up for it, it begins just before midnite CDT, totality will occur beginning just after 2AM CDT(april 15) and last for 75minutes. The moon will turn a dark red color thus earning the name "Blood Moon". Co-incidentally April 14 is the beginning of Passover. There will be 3 more Total lunar eclipses over the next 18 months, a very rare phenomenon.

Thanks for this. We may have a special showing at the observatory here if anyone wants to get up.
I know I will be watching.
