Im sure this has been answered, but I wasn't able to find it. We're looking at buying a Lance slide in camper and not sure how to price it correctly. I'm sure there is a higher percentage mark up on 5th wheels and such, but what would be a reasonable percentage discount to expect with a slide in camper. I know this isn't an exact science, but something to start us with would be very helpful. Thanks.

Actually dealers selling truck campers won't offer as large of discount as 5th wheels or TT. The reason is supply and demand. There are far less camper makers then there are 5th wheel or TT makers and models.
What I do when shopping for a vehicle is to check the websites (rvtrader, rvnet, escapees, craigslist, racingjunk, ebay...etc.) to see what new and used models of the vehicle/camper are going for. I also look at the dealer ads for both new and used.
I come up with an average cost based on the research, for example new models go for $29,000 and one year old same or similar models are $25,000 with two year old models around $20,000. So my target price on new would be $25,000 to $27,000 and on one year old would be $20,000 to $21,000.
