Well I finally got caught up on Howard's blog. I started back in September and read a month a day (unless life got in the way) and just finished. Somewhere along the way I started treating it as part research projects and took tons of notes on things I learned but I also marked down all my favorite journal entries and thought I would share them. would love to know if anyone has any additional favorites that really inspired them so I can go back and give it a second read :)
Wow !! Congrats, I just finished too, but I took a bit longer. I think I started in March 2013. I wish I would have started taking notes too. It's so hard to go back and find what your looking for. I think I might have to start over and take notes. I just got to meet Howard in Greenville, NC. That was fun, I'm afraid my daughter and I talked so much he could not get a word in.

Trace,
I deleted your thread about this that you put in the Blog area of the forums. We don't need to have duplicate threads in more than one place.

Many of those you listed were favorites of mine as well. Following the transition from the campground refugees after Katrina to the rally/rv show circuit was a great read! The part that really touched me (I emailed this to Howard as well) was Howard's sharing of the real life issues they faced while staying committed to their dream lifestyle. The loss of family and friends as well as new RV-Dream family and their pets was handled in a beautiful way and brought me to tears more than once. It really drives home the importance of living now, of not waiting for the "perfect time" to follow your dream.
Probably my favorite series was their time at the ranch in Colorado. What a magical time and place. Bringing the place back to life while her mother was still alive to see it and before the fires ravaged the area made it even more special.
We likely take for granted how much of Howard and Linda's lives are invested in this community we all share and love. Thank you for this thread and the opportunity to give a nod to journal "moments" we've enjoyed the most.

Trace,
Thanks for posting this. I've enjoyed rereading those. I only bookmarked one, your first one listed because I'm not as organized as you. Howard and Linda have given us all so much of themselves. We wouldn't be out here loving this lifestyle if it weren't for their inspiration and this forum.
