We thought maybe it was the washer, but after trial and testing we decided it's storing them under the bathroom sink. Then once we dry off with them and they get damp they stink worse. If I leave them in the dryer and don't fold them they don't smell. Anyone else experienced this? Any suggestion for controlling the odor??

I don't know if this is your problem or not, but when we first got our front loader, we noticed an odor on clothes, towels, everything. I called Sears, and they said I had to leave the door open a bit to dry out so mold didn't form. I started doing that and the odor stopped.

We had this exact thing happen at home (S & B). Washed them in hot water and everything and they still smelled. Got Febreze for laundry and washed them and the smell went away and did not return. Occasionally I put the Febreze in there, but not often. Make sure you don't have some leak under your bathroom sink.
I was wanting a front loader washer, but have heard about the odors. What causes that? Yesterday I overheard something on TV about a class action lawsuit against Kenmore, Whirlpool and Bosch regarding front loader washer odors that cannot be dealt with. I was busy and didn't hear all about it. Anyone know anything about this before we go buy one of these? I thought they were more efficient and cleaned better ??????

Under an RV bathroom sink is often a place people find "sewer smell" caused by the vacuum breaker not working.

If the issue is associated with the towels not fully drying under the sink, that could easily cause them to stink.
We had a RV-Dreams member (Bill & Linda) recommend that we install a towel warmer in our RV, for the purpose of drying towels and/or other items, since items don't dry as well in an RV bathroom compared to a S&B bathroom. We thought it was a great idea. They use a free standing towel warmer, that is placed in a closet -- we will place a wall mounted unit in our RV, that will serve as a towel rack (as well as towel dryer). As long as you have a free space in a closet or on a wall (ours will be in our toilet room) and have a plug nearby, that could be a solution.

Yep! You’re going to laugh, but the fix, at least for us, is a towel warmer. Not only will it dry your towels after a shower, but your dish towels and sometimes clothes when you get wet. We’ve found it to be so important that when we spec’ed our new rig we made sure there was a place for it.Some put it on a wall in the toilet room and that can save space as Lynn said.Regardless, it works and Linda wouldn’t have a rig without one.Naturally YMMV

Now that's an idea that's new to me. I suspect this is more of an issue for those in a more humid climate. We had a towel warmer in our home just for luxury as AZ doesn't get humid but now a towel warmer in our 5th wheel.....hummmm. Great idea. 😄

Try adding plain white cheap vinegar to the rinse water. That will kill any mold or mildew that has developed. It's a great rinse all sorts of things, including instead of hair conditioner.

Just wanted to say that it is definitely our washing machine. Since we've been having to use the laundry mat while waiting on the insurance companies to settle, our towels, kept under the sink do not stink after use.
We considered a different brand but it didn't fit our closet space. I guess we may continue to use the laundry mat for towels.

You can run an empty wash cycle with hot water, bleach and baking soda OR just vinegar to clean the machine. There are also washing machine cleaning products available in the laundry aisle. Be sure and leave the door open between uses so it can dry out inside and not grow mildew. It would stink to have a W?D and still have to go tot he laundromat!

Mixing bleach and vinegar produces toxic chlorine gas. Do an internet search for "bleach and vinegar" and check out the results. Separately, any of those chemicals might be helpful with odor but the combination of bleach and vinegar would be a bad idea. Just saying...

So sorry for my poorly worded post. My intention was bleach & baking soda OR just vinegar - NOT to mix the bleach & vinegar!

Being lots of replies on how to get the order out, here is how to prevent front loader orders an is a cheap fix
After removing clothes out the front loader washing machine, take a rag and wipe the bottom seal where a half to one inch of water will collect, this water causes the sour order as it sits there for a day or two, then that sour water contaminates the next load. also leave to door open as long as ya can
