I had an opportunity to drive a truck to Los Angeles and back during the night. The truck had LED headlights. I really liked them. They lit up the road nicely. I found this website that has replacements for many common bulbs.
They are a little pricey @ about $150 a pair but if your looking for a way to keep up with your neighbors this might just be a suggestion.

While we are doing this gate guarding thing, we have had several vehicles come in with the LED headlights. Several cars, pickup's and big rigs. They do make a huge difference with the amount of light produced and projecting it down the road.
