I have been following Howard and Linda's web site for a couple of years now. It put into motion a life long dream of living in an RV on the road. In May of 2013 we bought a 2008 42' Monaco. In October the house sold, what we did not sell we gave away. On January 15, 2014 we officially retired. On January 28, 2014 we pulled out of Washington State. Cannot believe it has finally happened. A lot of our preparation was based on other peoples advise and postings... THANK you everybody.. am now living the dream.. Everybody who is in the preparation phase... just keep pushing on... It is great..

Great time to be out of WA state!! We'll be back in the summer, but no more Washington winters for us. Welcome to life on the road.

Ken and Rebecca, welcome to the club of newbie FTimers. Were on our third month and as one of the other posts stated, it really does get better from here. Enjoy your new found freedom and remember that even the few, what seems to be at the time, bad times become great stories to tell around the camp fire often eliciting laughter from those that have had similar circumstances.

Ken and Rebecca,
How awesome for you both and an inspiration for me - who has a sore back from getting the house ready for the market by next weekend.
Many happy & wonderful RV Dreams & Journeys to you both.

Ken and Rebecca, congratulations!!! As already said, it will continue to get better every day. We are new full timers also, just retired and left Ohio in December and are still "catching our breath" and just relaxing after working all these past years. Did not quite escape all of the snow, but managed to escape before the worst of it and have been in south Texas during all of the artic blasts of cold air up north. Even though it may be cooler than average, it beats sub zero weather they keep getting up north. Currently sitting around in shorts and a t-shirt in the state park on Mustang Island just outside Corpus Christi Texas. Best wishes for a great new life and maybe we will meet up on the road somewhere.
