When I introduced myself 3 months ago I thought I had it all planned: Sell the house, sell the Jeep, buy a van, buy a trailer, spend winters in Florida and come back to PA in the summers.
After lots more research and really considering how I will live, I realize I want a MH instead and will keep/tow my Jeep Wrangler. My exit plan has always been to end up in PA with the grandkids/great grandkids when I am no longer able to travel by myself.
My oldest granddaughter just shared that her husband is looking for work in Texas and they plan to sell their house and move as soon as possible. I panicked at first thinking I would have to change all my plans. No -- I will just winter in Texas now and still summer in PA.
I am so glad I had already embraced this big lifestyle change. As the rest of the family continues to move around I can remain as mobile as I like. My exit plan may (and probably will) change, but I can be adaptable. Isn't life great!

Sounds like your plan is just like ours.....set in jello. Glad it's working out. for you. What part of Texas is the Grand SIL looking for work and what does he do? Maybe I can send you some leads on jobs.

Thanks, Red.
They are thinking about the Dallas/Ft Worth area, but are open to other areas. He currently works for Verizon as a sales rep and is on his last semester at Penn State for his bachelors degree in IT work. I am really proud of him. He made the Dean's list last semester and is working full-time while going to school.

That's what my neighbor does. I'll check with him and see what he knows. We're on the north side of DFW.

Cindi,
Love how you found you can be so flexible and you might just end up wanting to explore other areas as well, not for your exit plan, but to just explore. Arizona, California and the Pacific Northwest....so keep on flexing.
Your motorhome idea sound just great for you.

I am always an obsessive planner so this is good for me to learn to let go. I lived in California and Idaho long ago. Love the forests and mountains but I am keeping an open mind about the desert. You never know -- I may learn to like it.

Then they are summering and wintering in Texas and Penn.
When my grandparents were snow birding that's how they worded it. Summering in upstate New York, Wintering in Florida

The love of the RV Lifestyle: Too move about the country as weather; finance and health allows. Couldn't ask for better as most RVers get complacent when they sit in one spot too long.
