Hello - Well, we bought our 5th wheel a week ago. We put a deposit down and the dealer is keeping it/storing it untii decent weather. We are in upper midwest. What a winter!
Our question -- They fed ex'd the contract for us to sign for final purchase and rest of money. The contract simply lists the VIN number and the agreed upon price BUT in the column they typed in purchase includes: and left it blank. We are not picking up the rig until late March and want to be sure all the appliances, options, furniture, etc. is as the initial description lists and what we saw when we did walk through. Are we off in thinking this needs to specify what we are getting? They want us to fed ex the contract and our payment right away.
Please comment. This is our first RV purchase. Thanks

an incomplete contract can cause alot of problems when you go to pick it up.......Hear say doesnt hold up to well in court if it came down to it!

a lot of my decision would be based on the dealer.....Mike is correct but if the dealer is solid with a good reputation it might not be something you need to worry about....

If the contract has the vin and reference to the build sheet then it includes what is on the build sheet. If you requested after market add ons such as slide toppers or anything else then these should be specified. You can add the items then sign the contract, if the dealer agrees when he receives the contract then you are good to go.

We bought our vacation home the same way using FedX. The contract came with a list of everything in the cabin that we and the sellers agreed would be in the cabin at time of sale.
A blank line item can lead to a "misunderstanding" at time of delivery.

Thanks everyone. We called the dealer and discussed it. We listed all things that are included as well as small details that need attention before we take possession. And then fed-ex'd the contract. We have very confident it is a reputable dealer but feel better having the contract include the details.
