Overslept this morning and showed up 30 minutes late (we forgot to set an alarm) but who's going to fire me on my last day???
Co-workers bought a gift card to my fav beverage shop ... they do know me!
Having lunch with another set of co-workers
Retirement party hosted by the company and board this afternoon
Private retirement dinner tonight
Tomorrow morning ... sleeping in on purpose!

Congratulations! It doesn't sound like you will get alot of work done today with all the celebrating. That is how it should be. It took me a little while to get used to NOT having to get up for work and relaxing. Now, I am enjoying our full-timing and the retirement. Hope to meet up with you one of these days on your travels.

"No alarm" is really nice. We can go months without setting ours.

This is the absolute worst example of nose-rubbing. Congrats, Grams. I gotta admit, I can't seem to type that without sounding a little snotty.

Go ahead, rub it in! Have a beverage (or 2) for me! I'll need it more than you, with a few years yet to go.

I have so much free time I seem to be busier than when I was working!!! What am I doing wrong???? When I was in my early childhood and later teen years I use to fish and learned even how to fly fish and there always seemed to be so much time in a day. Now it's like a Mazda...Zoom! Zoom! zoom!. Congratulations!!!! On your Retirement!

Good for you! January 1 was my one year anniversary of retirement and I have only had to set the alarm once in that year! It was very different than starting a vacation......even a long one.
Knowing you never have to go back to someone else's schedule is amazingly liberating........sorry Mark ))).
Enjoy your well deserved freedom....and this new chapter in your journey.
