Quartzsite and connectivity during the big RV show??

We are in Q for Christmas and noticed a 2 hour period of time today when even with our antenna to boost the signal, our connectivity, data and cell, were both horrible. We're thinking it might have been due to the fact that everyone was calling Mom, Dad, kids, Grandmas, etc.
I'm thinking this could also be problematic during the big RV show that starts Jan. 18th. Anyone have any experience with that? Since I'm working full time and I have a major proposal due on Jan. 20th, I cannot afford to have "iffy" connectivity and I'm concerned that this could be an issue.
I would appreciate any insight.
Thanks!

Haven't been in Q for about 5 years, back then we often had to drive back toward Blythe to get a signal so we could transmit our daily sales to the credit card processor. The signal for AT&T cell service and Verizon would come and go due to the crowds.

Bear is correct......due to the volume of people and the limited amount of cell towers , access is going to be spotty and or slow, people in general now keep there smart phones connected 24/7 and this places a strain on the available data gates on the tower when 10 thousand people are transmitting on it at the same time!

We are in Bouse ( 25 miles from Q at the east end of Plomosa Rd) and it usually slows down even here during the last couple of weeks of January. We are not on the cell towers around Q either. We are across the ridge that crosses Plomosa Rd and the towers on the Q side are not accessible here.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I think we've decided to leave Q in early Jan and head up to Lake Havasu, will work from there for a week or so, maybe get the Sea Eagle out and then we'll be headed back to the Tucson area.

Well here we are in Quartzsite for an overnight and in the afternoon both Verizon (via Millenicom) and AT&T (we have a hotspot) were doing fine. Now that it has become later, Verizon is very slow and AT&T is still working. We are out east of town off the south frontage road in the Scaddan Wash 14 day free area. I think you are smart to move away while it is busy here.

Bill - we moved last night, we're up near Lake Havasu on the Colorado river. We'll be here for the week and then head back to between Tucson and Phoenix next weekend.
Let us know if you are still in the Q area this week, we have some folks coming for dinner on Thursday, would love to have you join us.

We are now in Mesa until early April. Q was just an overnight spot on our way.
