Just wondering what the healing time is, and cost.
My right arm is feeling like its about to fall off at the elbow.

Jim; I staved off the need for the surgery for over 8 years by using an herbal regiment of 100mg B-6, 3 times a day; and 500mg of Magnesium in the morning. I finally had the surgery once I retired from truck driving. It seemed that it was 3-4 weeks of hardly any use of the hand, and then another 3-4 weeks before I dared doing full use things like cutting fire wood with the chain saw etc. Hope this helps.

I had the surgery 3 years ago. I was awake for the whole thing, the surgery itself only took about 10 minutes. I was back to work (pet sitting) that afternoon. My arm was in a splint for a couple of weeks, I think it was about a month before I really used that hand for holding onto leashes & walking big dogs. Overall, it was a pretty easy experience.

I was hoping that not working/semi-retiring for awhile would help make it better, but I think its a losing battle. I already had a bunch of cortizone shots in my elbow to help reduce the inflammation but its getting time for a fix. No grip at all, aggravating numbness, and its starting to migrate to my shoulder.

Has anyone had it recently?
