Hi everyone! Been a while since I've been here. Just curious - has anyone ever used one of those Monkey Hooks in their MH wall. I would like to hang a couple of wine racks (5 bottles) and need something that will support the weight. The Gorilla hooks will support 50 lbs and the Hercules hooks will support 150 lbs. Any experience with these would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I looked at their website and it says it installs into drywall. Does your motorhome have drywall? It said that you don't need to find a stud in order to install it. I would contact the manufacturer about hanging something that heavy. Keep in mind the walls are not as thick as at home and you'll want to make sure that you won't be interfering with any electrical wires. It will be interesting to see if anyone has used this even in their home to hold something that weighs as much as a cupboard to drywall.

my problem with using a monkey hook is the insulation in the wall you are putting it in ......if it is rigid foam board it will not work .....second problem is they are designed for sheetrock and most coach walls are wood laminate so you would have to figure another method of putting it thru the wall.........my other thought is if you plan on driving down the road with this wine hanging on the wall....if so , no it wont work

Just to update - we had to cut off about 3/4" to accommodate the thinner wall & drill small holes in the paneling but with two 50 lb hooks on each 5 bottle rack they are sturdy & secure.
