I have an 2011 caliber by heartland that i am going to sell. I am very unhappy with it. The trailer was built with poor quality materials. Always in the shop being fix every time we came back from a trip. (7 times within 2 years) I am looking into buying a Forest River trailer about a 27 or 29 foot . What can you tell me about forest river rv.I went thru 3 converters with the caliber. The converter was made by (WFCO) When i buy a new trailer i was thinking of tell the dealer to put in a rv converter/charger. Some one told me by doing this, this will save the converter. Is there any other way to do this.

There has to be a wiring issue or one of the accessories is shorting out to cause 3 converter failures. Our TT is almost 14 years old (stays plugged in 24/7) and is still on the original converter. It's a Progressive Dynamics Power Converter with the charge wizard pendant.
If you really like the RV maybe you should find a shop that could track down the root of the problem. Sorry, I don't know much about the Forest River Products.
