I live in my 5th wheel at River's End Campground and RV Park. Also I am a camphost at the Campground. I bought my 5th wheel after I rented a furnished mobile home cabin at the Richmond Hill, GA KOA campground. To get to my 40 foot cabin I had to drive by alot of RVs, 5th wheels, and Class C's and I thought some of the 5th wheels have almost as much space as my cabin. I did some research and shopped for motor coaches and 5th wheels. I decided to buy my 33 foot Mobile Suites, have lived over a year in my 5th wheel, and found that I have plenty of room. I am retired Army, work as a Dept of Army civilian, and volunteer as a camphost. I keep busy but hope to attend the Spring Education Rally to learn about the maintenance/RV living and meet some people. My name is on the wait list

Welcome to the forum, you sweem to have found what you were looking for. Happy for you, I see that you are retired from the Army, well I'm looking for mine in 2015, I think that 5 years has a paramedic and 27 years with the RCMP will be enough for me. We've been planning to become fulltimer many years ago, our target date was 2018 but we change our plan and we should hit the road around sept 2015. Like almost everyone we have to sell the house, the cars and get rid of a lot of items. I can say that we are in the final process of becoming a new couple in the FT community.
Wish you good luck with next rally, we don't own an RV yet but we know what we want, we're expecting to buy in the summer of 2015 and like you we intend to assist the RV Dream Rally.

Hey Greg, welcome to the forum. My husband is retired Navy so we enjoy a lot of military campgrounds and have workcamped as well. We like the mix plus state and federal as well as private campgrounds. DRV's are great units!
Hope you can make the Spring Rally!

Thanks for the welcome. Although I still have the traditional J-O-B, I have a nice 5th wheel, a truck and learning one step at a time. I am no longer wasting money renting a living space. The 5th wheel should be paid off in 5 years and that is when I plan to retire. Keep pursuing Ur RV dream.........one day at a time.

Thanks for the welcome Sherry. I am happy with my DRV 5th wheel. I have lived permanent over a year and only minor fixes....knock on wood. Pass on to your husband my thanks for his military service. Did U have one of the free meals on Veterans Day? Applebee's provided my Vet meal. Greg
