We've been lurking for quite a while, finally felt the nudge to join up and introduce ourselves.
Al grew up camping in family tents, popups, and pickup campers. Beth's family were tenters.
Once married we have camped all over the North East and Mid West in our older Class C and beautiful HR Class A. And we have never hesitated to camp in our old Suburban and the back of our pickup when we needed to. Most times we simply used the follow-your-nose plan, Beth picked the first turn and Al picked the next, and sometimes getting lost was the best fun. Great adventures always!
We have been self employed crafting custom copper weather vanes for the last 25 years. http://www.denninger.com
Al loves to fish & boat. He guided here on the lake for a while. http://www.bullshoalsfishingguide.com Beth loves to read, "get the net" and eat the fish Al catches.
We moved to a beautiful home on a big lake in the Ozarks MO/AR thinking it would be our permanent vacation place. We have been here for 8 years and are getting itchy-feet to travel again.
We are RV-less at the moment - but looking for our next HOW.
Dream on,
Al & Beth

Welcome. Yeah, once you have experienced "adventure", it is hard to adapt to "permanent" so we certainly understand "itchy feet". We thought we really needed to get serious about finding a "permanent" place but nothing has fit. The Ozarks MO/AR is a beautiful area though.

Look forward to seeing you on the road! Nice copper work, Dale is an artist so we plan our travels based on which art shows we're accepted into for each season and being FT RV'ers gives us the option to apply to shows in the areas we want to be at specific times of the year. We visit family along the way and are so excited that we will no longer be doing the "fly in" Christmas visit and trying to see all our DFW friends and family in 8-10 days.

Al & Beth,
Welcome! Agree with Ruth your weather vanes are stunning. I get a picture of you in a motor home pulling a trailer with Al's workshop behind. Wonder how one would look on an RV?😄
Totally understand the itch and loved the description of your travels. We closed on our home in AZ in August and almost bought the house next to it last week! Not that we were regretting selling, just that the perfect someday exit plan house came on the market After sleeping on it we realized we don't really have an exit plan and didn't want to throw out any anchors at this point.
Hope you join us soon.

Yes, Ruth,
We used to do shows when we first started 25 years ago. One year we did 28 shows - one weekend we even split up to do two separate shows. Whew... In those days we were "mail order" and we produced our own catalog. And we spent a fortune in print advertising ... We haven't done a show in years. I remember coming home wit no voice. The internet sure has changed things...
What is Dales medium? We'd love to see his work. Is there any way we can see some of his work online?

Sherry,
Thank you for the comments.
I have actually given a lot of thought to putting a studio/shop in a trailer. Some of my machines are big and heavy. I'd have to have one of those two story stacker trailers the race car folks use and pull it with a HDT. I'm been trying to scale down for years. I good idea will come forward exactly when we need it. Our thought is open and ready.
Ha, we don't even have a weather vane on our house. (The shoemakers kids go barefoot :)
Don't worry about exit strategies, you're out there doing what a lot of people only dream about. Enjoy it... Every minute.
Joining you in spirit for now. We have to operate out of a home base type concept for now. We'll get there...
Our Best,
Al & Beth

Welcome Al and Beth
Love your adventurous spirit! Can certainly relate to the itchy feet as we are preparing to hit the road in 2015.
All the folks here are great and it sounds like you have lots to offer as well. I look forward to hearing about your next steps and to seeing you "out there".
