Congratulations! We are so happy for you. Yes there is a God, but many time his time is much different than ours.

Linda (my wife of 48 years) and I have been planning this for about 2 years now. As we are currently living in a 7200 sq ft log home on acerage/Minnesota, we thought it would take quite a while to sell the home, so we thought we would just wait until we had a solid offer to do much. Luckily however we needed a new truck so we went ahead and ordered it...GMC Denail 3500 HD dually diesel which will be delivered this Saturday. What the heck she said, lets discuss the 5th wheel with the dealer, just to get an idea of the cost......2014 Elite PS3 with the extra bedroom slide........its due in at the end of the month (the price was too good to pass up she said). OK, by now my heart is reaching max rpms and the house wasn't ready to show yet. Two nonstop weeks of cleaning, rearranging (would you believe I was told no animal mounts over the fireplaces or around the house because it might offend a prospective buyer.......remember its a log home in the woods. Finally, its ready and the video folks show up (with a remote helicopter) and in know time the process is over. Two days. no. one and a half to be honest, the first folks come through and make a full price offer...for cash no less. Closes on the 15th of Oct unless we can get out sooner. Oh, guess what the buyers says to me when we met........why did you hide all the mounts and decorations in the garage, they were hard to see out there and to cap it off......can we buy some of the furniture and decorations. I was stuttering so hard it took me almost a minute to get yes out. Well if anyone one out there doesnt believe in God, have them call us. We're signed up for the April 2014 rally and look forward to meeting as many of you as we can. Thanks for your input (we been stealthily reading for months) and God Bless. Patrick/Linda

Thanks for sharing your excitement.
Here are the answers to two questions that will come up: Will you live through the closing and preparations? Yes, it is hard, but you will get through it. 2. Did we make the right decision? Yes.
Welcome to true freedom.
Happy Traveling.

Linda and Patrick,
Now, I am "officially" embarrassed. You've made a number of comments on the forums and in none of those cases did I welcome you to the RV Dreams forums. (You can now slap my hands for being a "slug.") So, allow me to offer a welcome now and to also offer thanks for your service and sacrifice to and for our country and its citizens. Glad to have you as part of the "family."
I don't know if you've found it, but there is also an owner's association for DRV Suites owners called Suite Owners International Travel Club (SOITC). While one has to be an owner to be a member of the association, anyone can register on their forums and seek information about the Suites models. When we were doing the research for our Mobile Suites, we spent two years doing that research and the folks here and on SOITC provided a lot of valuable information.

Patrick and Linda,
That is too great and too funny! It's certainly all coming together for you and at light speed. Are you sure you're not dreaming? Congratulations and how very exciting! We'll see you at the Rally.

Welcome to the site and congrat's! What an awesome story!
Can't wait to meet you guys at the Rally in April - I want to meet you right away so some of that mojo can rub off! Our house should be up for sale by then, and we will be looking for it to sell quickly and get a move on!
Let's all keep dreaming! Sooner or later, they WILL ALL COME TRUE!

Believe it or not, the realestate agent kept asking us when we were going to list the home because she had someone who was supposedly very interested...the person had talked with someone who had been in our home at one time. We thought she was just saying that to get us to sign with her but as it turned out, she was correct. It sold so quickly all our neighbors thought we must have accepted a low offer. Look forward to seeing you in April as well. Patrick/Linda
