I have spent the last 4 days messing with my Fantastic Breeze fan in the kitchen. It just quit and I in my wisdom thought "I can fix it" Rather than leave it at CW for 2 or 3 weeks, because I live in here full time. I know they will replace it for free, but it was a challenge and I had nothing else to do. Out came the tool box, screws everywhere, tester, wrenches (I don't know what the wrenches were for) and every screwdriver I own. Four days I worked, nothing worked. Finally told DW we were going to have to find a motel. I really hate to admit defeat, but comes an end. Wait !! One more look, check the incomming electricity again, it's dead. But wait--the fuse fell out must have been loose, checked it with the tester--Dead. Went to the service station and bought a package of 5 fuses $1.49. Guess what was wrong ?

I laughed when I read this, so read it to DH. He chuckled and said, "It's even funnier that he admitted it." I'm sure it's a guy thing.... Well, you said you had nothing else to do.

Yeah, but Camping World would likely have charged $100 an hour or more.
I'd say you did very well, and we all have a tendency to overlook the obvious at times.

Sounds like my DH whenever something breaks. Except all the tools and screws and all the bits & pieces linger long after the job gets done!

I usually have leftover screws; bolts and washers!!! Put them in my spare parts drawer. If it works why look to see where they were suppose to go!! LOL.
