What kind do you like and us? Our gal is used to yard so want to give her as much freedom we can but hate the tangled mess around the door and campsite.

I set my lead to the outer point of my awning bar and ajust it to keep Nikki from being able to tangle in any thing.....or I snap lock the lead to my chair....I do not let her be outside unattended for any reason plus I have yet to find any campground that allows it.

You'll need to also check with each campground/RV park because they may have restrictions as to how long a pet's leash can be, as well as other restrictions.

Many Campgrounds don't want you driving anything in the ground because of underground sprinkler lines.

I would hook my two dogs on 10 ft chain leashes to one of those screw in stakes you can get at pet shops if the ground would hold it.. Like Mike I would place it away far enough so the dogs could get under the awning or trailer for shade but not get tangled in the chairs and table.
