So I stumbled across this site looking for tips on what to look for in starting out on what I call my "escape " / grand adventure.
I've been doing some research and decisions as to what I need to look for but would love to get some ideas from people who live the "lifestyle" full time.
I'm looking at basically quitting my job and working full time to pursue my true love of Skydiving. Most larger DZ's have hookups for rv's and trailers and most other ones are out in the country with a place nearby to hook up at.
I'm looking at getting a tow behind or a 5th wheel. I'm going to be looking for advice and asking all kinds of questions of what to look for / what models and options I should be considering as well as technical questions and budgeting. I'm a real diy guy and technologically inclined so I'm really looking into the low footprint aspect of this lifestyle.
Anyway just wanted to introduce myself and I'm going to take a look at the rest of the forums to see what questions I can have answered for me.

I learned something today, the Eloy, AZ Skydive Arizona, is not the only one with hookups. I didn't know that.
Skydive Arizona is the world's largest skydive dropzone and it is fun to visit and watch. They also have an indoor skydiving building, which you can also watch as long as it is in public usage.
Anyway, welcome VAJumper. You should be able to get answers to your questions. You can start by looking over the forums and using search. Don't overlook http://www.rv-dreams.com/, there is a lot of useful info there.

Eloy and Chicagoland skydiving has them . Lots of airports also have at least water hookups as well. Again most places are out in the country so other places to hook up aren't terribly far off.
I'm actually really hoping to work out at Eloy or try to work at another place with hook ups. I'm also trying to factor in having good year round weather as a factor in my choice of new mobile home.

My brother is a skydiving instructor, and in hanging out with him I've encountered quite a few fellow nomadic souls amongst that community. Seems like a fantastic way for someone to combine their passion for jumping with a sustainable income source too, if you go down the trainer/videography/pilot route. A heck of a way to explore new locations.

I think that between Howard and Linda's information on the full website and the folks here on the forums, I suspect that you will get a lot if insight, ideas, and suggestions, as well as answers to your questions. Feel free to ask away as we all tend to learn from each other, and your questions just might give us all a different perspective.
