I checked the other threads, and it seems that many commercial parks have provisions for filling the propane tank on a motor home. We prefer staying at COE or state campgrounds, and so far I haven't found such service there. Since we're hoping for some workcamping gigs in such places we're wondering what to do when we need propane. Any suggestions?

We use an Extend a Stay propane adapter so we can hook an external tank to our motorhome. We carry a 30 lb tank for this purpose and just have to take it in to get refilled when empty. You can also use one of the 20 lb grill tanks, these you can exchange at the local gas station, hardware etc. if there is not a place to refill them close by.

We have the extend-a-stay also. And for those just in case times we carry a 20lb bottle with us.
