We have just ordered our first RV for full time living, a Cedar Creek 38FL. We've chosen this route because we are in a transitioning period in our lives. The youngest child has just finished college and moved to KS, the other's are spread between TN and OK and don't get to NC very often. We want to move closer to my work and the airport for my husbands traveling. Because our house has lost quite a bit in the economical down turn we won't get enough out of it to buy the house we want so by selling now we'll get enough out of it to transition to the RV lifestyle. Down sizing, upgrading and saving money. We plan to live in it a few years while saving up to buy the house we want unless we decide we just like the RV lifestyle!
Look forward to learning from others on here!

Welcome Dana! We're new here too. My wife and I will be making the jump to full timers in about a year. From what I've seen so far of this site - it's a great place to be.
Good luck!

For those looking to read blogs and journals of RVers - http://hitchitch.com/ is a master index. Forget getting anything else done for the next week as you explore those blogs.

Dana,
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. The folks here are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and downright encouraging. So for any questions that you may have, you will likely find some answers and alternative ideas.
Sounds like you will be traveling quite a bit in order to visit all the kids. At least those in Kansas and Oklahoma are in adjacent states, so it might not be such a trek to visit them. Jo and I live in Oklahoma City, so if you ever have any questions about this area and state, feel free to ask us.
Glad to have you as part of the "family" of RV dreamers and those living that dream.
Terry

Dana, you sound a lot like us, but we won't be heading out until (hopefully) June of next year. Good Luck! Do you have a blog or website? I am enjoying reading and learning from those that have come before me! Enjoy!

Thanks for the warm welcome. We don't have a blog not sure I'll do one since I own a business and "try" to keep the social media going with that:) Thanks for the blog list though I'll be sure to check it out!!
Does anyone one else have trouble with the mobile version not searching? I tried searching several topics on my phone but none of the threads discuss the topic.
We finally got our order finalized yesterday! We also stopped by the campground we are looking at and looked at the long tern (50 amp) sites that are currently available. Good news is they have plans to expand and upgrade the grounds this year. Hopefully, we'll get first dibs on a space in the new area:)
Have a great day!!

The mobile version of activeboard is so useless I wait until I can get to my computer instead of using it on my tablet. I don't think I am alone.

Use the full version on my iPad but only peek at it on rare occasions on my iPhone because its such a small screen. Not sure if that's what you were referring to, tho'.

Continuing being off topic.
Thanks Sherry for making me find how to use the full site on my tablet. (Menu -> Full Site). Now it works and is much better. BTW: I am using Chrome on Android.

I completely agree on the "Hitch Itch" being the master site... Thats how I found all this and started down the path leading to today!
