You are all going to love me; hate me or quit listening. I have the results from the Nuclear Heart Viability tests. I have no wall motion on the frontal middle to the bottom of my heart and over the septum which divides your Left and right ventricles which push oxygenated fresh blood out to our body parts. I have an ejection rate of 49% and normal is 63%-77%. Low is less than 35%. The lack of oxygen is what causes my shortness of breath. I have CAD, CHF, Cardiomyopathy, Angina, Ischemia; the combination makes me weak, fatigued; SOB; and pains in my muscles. There is no "fix" for this and have been given another drug to add to my collection. Reminds me of the Song by Huey Lewis and the News; I want a new drug!!! Really I don't because sometimes the side effects outweigh the benefits.
I won't be hearing from them for about 5-6 months unless today's echocardiogram comes back with something; showing it can be done or i have an emergency. Thanks again for your prayers; support and listening to me carry on. The Prayers must be working because my "Timex" is still Ticking. Pieere

Wow, Pieere, you are so brave! Thanks for keeping us updated.
Might you be a candidate for a Timex transplant?
Sending you hugs and support.
How's that creep at your park that was taking advantage of you?

Ed,
I had really hoped for a lot better news than that. However, you are still showing a positive attitude, so, who knows what all will happen. Our thoughts and prayers are there for you.

I will never give-up on me as long as I have supportive friend like all of you have been. Not a candidate for a new Timex yet according to the Cardio Dr. Cardiac Artery Bypass Surgery not an option because the heart muscle is not reversible. There is another here in the park who still gets around with only 13% of his heart. I may not be able to do much strenues work any more or work in the heat and humidity but maybe I need to start doing my bucket list. Pieere

No new ticker; just a couple new drugs. No new Timex; but a better attitude just knowing I need to treat my health better. I haven't spoken with him; nor him to me. WE remain sitting in the corner of our boxing ring for now!!!

Pierre,
Thanks for keeping us updated. As you said, plenty of folks out there with worse conditions still getting around and enjoying life. It's all in the attitude. Glad yours is doing well and you don't have any "quit" in you!
Hugs,

Bucket lists work 2 ways...
1. Its nice to work thru a list, but what happens at the end?
2. You set unreasonable goals..
But if you know your limits and learn to work within them, then the sky's the limit.

A bucket list to me is doing some of the things that you never done before: Like a ride on the Miss. River Queen Paddlewheeler. Visiting Mt Rushmore; State of Wyoming; YellowStone and Glacier Natl. Park. I don't care if I achieve them all. It just gives some an outlook to maybe live a few days longer. Beats sitting in the rocking chair moping and felling sorry for ones self and dying a selfish miserable old person.
Two things I have going for me is my belief in God and am very strong willed when I want to accomplish some thing. Now if I could just get SSD to approve my claim; I already know that some of the settlement will go to pay overdue bills. The rest; let's just say that's another story. The monthly will be a whole lot better than I've had since January this year.

I think Jim has it Ed , even tho we have to draw the line its not what we cant do that counts , its the untapped can-do's !!!!
the things you can do in life only stop when you allow them...and jobs well done only fallow with greater ideas and achievements, a simple Idea can become something great, and all major failures can be just a glitch with a minor unnoticed quirk in the system.

There is nothing that is going to stop me from keeping my positive outlook on life! I am taking the medications as scheduled, watching my diet the best I can and when the weather allows get my exercise. I lost 6 #'s since the end of April. I am setting next Spring as my goal of getting this "bus" back on the road; and yes: one step at a time..even if it is a baby one. If the good Lord wants me on this planet; I will be here no matter what lifes' circumstances throws my way!!! Thanks All.

I can assure you after meeting and living around hundreds of different people, probably thousands, attitude is makes ALL the difference. I think we all have "stores" of energy and ability to overcome adversity deep within our spirits but if you choose to just sit there or worst yet complain, endlessly and dwell on how unfair life is, well, the grim reaper gets a big smile and knocks at your door! I really believe that the mind and spirit can conquer a lot of the physical ills. I think we should all be working on our bucket lists daily and adding to the end of the list also. Continuing to be in our thoughts and prayers.
