The company we do contract work for is looking for another full timing couple. This job requires excellent customer service experience, problem solving skills, being technologically savvy, a well rounded sense of humor and the willingness to have a great time doing your job.
This is a national company that services outdoor events and requires travel from about April or May until the end of October. The travel area could involve being all over the Midwest or the East or the West with a possibility of some Canadian travel. Pay is all 1099 and based on experience and per event.
If you are interested in knowing more, PM me.

Sounds interesting but I am still working fulltime and traveling doing field training of techs, resolving customer issues and doing product development.

Not for us but if you explained what kind of work this is it might help others. I know employers can't dictate hours to a 1099 employee but what hours might be necessary and what kind of compensation?

Thanks Sherry,
This company provides the software, training and customer service for online ticketing for outdoor music festivals. We travel to 6 to 8 outdoor music festivals per season. The season is from April to October depending on the area of the country. Most festivals are 4 days, but some are 6 or 7 days. We set up internet equipment, prepare scanning equipment and train the festival staff on the use of the scanners and company's software. We usually arrive 2 to 3 days early to set up equipment and remain throughout the festival providing customer service, troubleshooting, problem solving and technical assistance as well as physically jumping in to help the festival staff.
Hours can be long, but the actual work is usually in spurts. We usually have anywhere from a week to a month between festivals and can take our time travelling between them. We are starting our 4th year with this company and enjoy it tremendously! We were familiar with the company for a few years before we actually went to work for them and respect the work they do. Their major focus is customer service and there are always at least 2 people at each festival. Their home office is in Arizona and their staff travel from there to each of the festivals, so we are always paired with at least one home office staff member.
This is a laid back festival atmosphere with all of us treated as part of the family.
Compensation is good, but I'm not at liberty to discuss particulars on that. Suffice it to say you will not be earning minimum wage!
Once we get a feel for any interested party we will be forwarding resumes, pictures and recommendations to our company contact.

That would be so perfect for me and DH; just what we love to do, and what we are both skilled for. Unfortunately, we're not on the road yet. Perhaps the opportunity will wait for us in a year or 2? :)

Hi Doris, Is your company looking for immediate help or is it for next season. Sounds interesting to us and works out well with gate guarding (not telling you anything you don't already know LOL). We are committed until mid October this year and then heading for the oil fields again for the winter as long as Rudee gets a clean bill of health but we are wide open for next year.

Hi Phil!
I've been reading your adventures at Crazy Horse. We loved it when we visited a few years ago. Yes, it's next season, but might be a commitment in October. I'll PM you.

Give me a few days. I am in the middle of my 4th festival this month and am really busy. Time off after this one and then can return messages.
Thanks!

This sounds like exactly what I've been looking for. I have all the necessary qualifications and love music festivals but I do have one question. We are going on the road with our two children, so the wife and I may not be able to work the same hours. Is this a deal-breaker for the type of work that is required?

Yes, I'm sorry. This is a deal breaker. Both would have to work and there are no provisions for children.
